The queen of the Belgian coast as Ostend is more affectionately known is a stylish and cosmopolitan seaside resort. Coupled with its Olde Worlde charm it attracts more tourists each year then any other town along its coast.
Ostend is the home of a fascinating North Sea aquarium and a stately three masted Mercator in which is housed in the colourful yachting marina. Whilst in Ostend, we recommend a stroll along the promenade and the pier, a visit to the fishing harbour is also a must, and here you will be able to sample the various seafood delicacies that are sold on the many seafood stalls that line the sea front.
As the sun goes down and the lights go on, Ostend springs to life. Laughter and singing fill the air, music and the smells of typical Flemish cooking can be found everywhere. One of the biggest draws is that of the many bars and clubs situated on or near to Langestraat most of which are open until 4.a.m. All of the hotels used by Five Star Group Travel are situated in the very heart of the town centre making it easy to fall out of a bar and into your hotel at the end of a fun filled night. Early morning depart gives plenty of time to reach the channel port in-order to catch the early afternoon ferry from Dover to Calais. On reaching Calais we will make the leisurely journey to the Ostend aiming for an approximate arrival time at your hotel of 5pm for check in. After check in the rest of the evening is free to spend at leisure

Free day in Ostend or join the coach for a free half day excursion to Bruges

After breakfast, we say a fond farewell to the hotel and its staff and rejoin the Five Star Travel coach for the return journey to the port of Calais
