Bath

Bath is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK and the only one to be designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO due to its rich Roman and Georgian heritage.  As well as stunning architecture such as the Royal Crescent, Circus and Pulteney Bridge, Bath also has a wide variety of attractions and museums to explore.

The Roman Baths is always a good place to start and a great introduction to the city where visitors can learn all about the beginnings of this spa town; see Roman artefacts and walk on ancient pavements around the steaming waters of the original baths. The Museum is an ideal attraction for groups and comprehensive commentary can be enjoyed with the choice of individual audioguides or personal escorted tours.

Other attractions, which all welcome groups, include Bath Abbey, the Fashion Museum, Victoria Art Gallery, American Museum, No. 1 Royal Crescent and the Jane Austen Centre which celebrates the life and times of Bath’s famous writer.

Yet Bath is not buried in the past!  Theatre, vibrant street entertainment and a year-round programme of festivals including the popular Bath Christmas Market bring life and excitement to this beautiful city.

After exploring all that Bath has to offer, visitors are spoilt for choice with a selection of mouth-watering restaurants, pubs and teashops.  Situated in one of the oldest houses in Bath is Sally Lunn’s Refreshment House, which serves the famous Sally Lunn bun.  Still made to the original secret recipe, the bun is a must for visitors to Bath and a very enjoyable way to enjoy a break between all that exploring!
