Galway, Connemara and the Aran Islands
Galway or the City of Galway (Irish: Cathair na Gaillimhe), is a city in Ireland. It is in the West Region and the province of Connacht. Galway City Council is the local authority for the city. Galway lies on the River Corrib between Lough Corrib and Galway Bay and is surrounded by County Galway. It is the 4th most populous city in the state and the 6th most populous on the island of Ireland.
The vibrant city of Galway is the capital of the West of Ireland. Connemara offers a scenic vista of bogs, valleys and lakes and spectacular intricate coastline. The Aran Islands are famous for their geological formation, historical monuments and their linguistic and cultural heritage.

Boat trip to the Aran Islands.
Today, enjoy a boat trip from Galway to the Aran islands. Inis Mor is the largest of the islands and by far the most popular. Rich in culture and with a unique landscape, the island is steeped in history and resembles an outdoor museum with over 50 different monuments of Christian, pre-Christian and Celtic mythological heritage.
Cliffs of Moher and Burren Tour.
Today, enjoy an excursion along Galway Bay. See the fishing village of Kinvara and Dunguaire Castle then head into the lunar-like landscape of The Burren. See Kilfenora with its famous Celtic Crosses before visiting the 200m high, 8kms long Cliffs of Moher. Enjoy stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands. Return via the Coast Road with views of Connemara and Galway in the distance.

After breakfast we return to the ferry port for the journey home.
