The horticultural highlight of spring in Holland must be the Keukenhof Flower Gardens. Once a modest little herb garden, it is now where the annual petal spectacular attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Combined with visits to Het Loo Palace and Gardens and the Royal Gardens in The Hague, this is a true gardeners' delight!

Day 1

Depart the UK.

Travel to either Hull, Harwich or Newcastle for your overnight cruise ferry to Holland. (60 miles).

Day 2


Disembark the ferry and head straight to Keukenhof Gardens. Keukenhof has developed into a showcase for the flower bulb and ornamental plant industry. See the surrounding fields from a different perspective on a 'Whisper Boat' cruise. Optional guided tours are also possible. Continue to your hotel for the following 2 nights.

Day 3

Het Loo Palace and Gardens.

Today we travel to Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn for a visit of the spectacular Palace and its gardens. Enjoy the beautiful baroque style gardens also known as the 'Versailles of the North'. Guided tours can be arranged if required. On the way back to the hotel spend some time in Amersfoort, a city with a heart, named after the shape of the inner-city. Spend time exploring the many monuments including churches, museums, city walls and gates or stroll along its beautiful canals.

Day 4

Royal Delft and the Royal Gardens.

Depart hotel and head for The Hague for a visit of this great city that is the seat of the Government and home of the Royal Family. Optional guided tour and a visit to the Royal Gardens, where you can enjoy some free time is recommended before continuing to beautiful Delft for a guided tour of the Royal Delft Porcelain factory. Drive to your chosen port for the return overnight crossing to the UK.

Day 5

Arrive UK.

Disembark the following morning and continue your journey home.
