Great British Beer Festival

3 Days / 2 nights B&B in London

CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, is counting down the days until its premier event, the Great British Beer Festival, kicks off at Earls Court, London.

Over 450 beers and a wide selection of real cider and perry await thirsty Festival-goers this year. With 14 UK regional bars, displays by some of the best-known family brewers in Britain, and a bottle-conditioned beer bar, GBBF presents the best that British brewing has to offer.

The Champion Beer of Britain competition takes place on Tuesday August 4th, and after success in 2008 and 2009 for the Triple fff brewery from Alton, Hampshire, who will walk away this year with the most-coveted accolade in the beer industry today? Fancy trying a beer from outside the UK? Back by popular demand every year, the Bieres San Frontieres bar showcases the best beers from around the world, including brews from Germany, Belgium, Italy, USA, Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

Feeling environmentally conscious? At GBBF the Bar UnusuALE presents some of the most organically produced beers in the world, as well as vegetarian and coeliac-friendly brews. After working through the massive array of world beers, the live entertainment promises to provide an eclectic mix of jazz, folk and orchestral. Performers this year include the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, the Chaminade String Quartet and Oysterband.

Feeling lost and need a guide? Beer lovers at GBBF this year will rejoice as beer tutors such as Roger Protz, Jeff Evans, Melissa Cole and Tim Webb return to the Festival to amaze drinkers with their heady knowledge of beer.
The Great British Beer Festival is a 5-day celebration of beer and brewing, staffed by over 1,000 volunteers. Join CAMRA at Earls Court for an event where variety and choice abounds!
